Las Americas Bakery
Family business since 1984
Las Americas Bakery first opened its doors in 1984 by owners Billy and Gilda Grosjean in the city of North Hollywood. As Guatemalan immigrants, they pursued the American dream by starting a small business.
The bakery quickly became a cherished gathering place for the Latin immigrant community, offering a wide variety of freshly baked goods and flavorful cultural dishes that evoke the comforting tastes of home.
In 2021 son, Christian took over the family business after serving in the U.S. Army. While in the Reserves, he attended the University of Southern California as a first-generation college student, graduating with honors.
After working in private equity real estate, Christian chose to return to his roots, taking over the family bakery where he grew up helping his family craft traditional pan dulce, cakes, and pastries.
